Santa Rosa County

Santa Rosa County Water Watch was established to begin to collect baseline data on water quality in the Santa Rosa Sound. historically there have only been a few established sites in the SR Sound with sampling only consistent for a few years at a time. The SRC Water Watch Program now has at least 6 sites that are being sampled on a regular basis.

Parameters sampled include: salinity, pH, water clarity, temperature and dissolved oxygen. Locations were determined due to potential impacts from existing upland land use and potential changes. The SRC Water Watch Project supports future sampling that will be conducted to support a septic to sewer project.
