Florida Water Watch is a program of the Florida Sea Grant College Program and the University of Florida IFAS Extension.

The Florida Water Watch program was developed with guidance from two successful citizen volunteer water monitoring programs, Florida LAKEWATCH and Georgia Adopt-a-Stream. FWW’s advisory committee made up of volunteers affiliated with:

  • Choctawhatchee Basin Alliance
  • Florida Department of Environmental Protection
  • Florida LAKEWATCH
  • Georgia Adopt-a-Stream
  • Marine Resources Council
  • U.S. EPA

The Florida Water Watch program has received support and grants from multiple sources including the University of Florida IFAS Extension, U.S. EPA, the Gulf of Mexico Alliance, various governmental agencies, and contributions from individuals and groups throughout the state.
